Massabesic won 3-1

Portland goalie Jaida McIlwain was incredible in goal tonight stopping 13 of 14 first half shots, with the one goal coming from Emma Snyder as she cleaned up a rebound at 11:57. In the second half, the Mustangs once again peppered the PHS goalie and were marginally more successful with Micaela Jacobs scoring both goals (at 27:42 and 14:01).

Julia Gregoire played the first half in goal for MHS, and Ashley Day faced the Bulldogs in the second, when Portland got their first shots on goal. PHS capitalized on one of their 4  corners with a rocket from Aleah Murph at 7:47 to pull them within 2 goals, but the Mustangs once again kept the ball in their own Offensive end for much of the game.

Massabesic travels to Biddeford to play the Tigers on Tuesday: JV game at 4:00 followed by the varsity game at 5:30.
